IT Administrator II

Position Summary

Nelson Global Products (Corporate IT in Stoughton, WI) is looking for an IT Administrator II with Microsoft System Center experience to provide enterprise-level support through the design, configuration, administration, maintenance / support of Microsoft System Center and its modules (for example: Configuration Manager, etc.)

Some key activities include: design and plan Microsoft System Center (SC) infrastructure, deploy and manage operating systems, applications & software updates, manage compliance settings, manage sites, manage clients, manage inventory, manage reports and queries, deploy and manage applications, plan and implement software updates, manage compliance and endpoint protection settings, and manage Configuration Manager clients.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy System Center solutions and related technologies, including but not limited to: managing and deploying operating systems, applications and software updates; managing compliance settings; managing sites; managing clients; managing inventory; creating and managing reports and queries; deploying and managing applications; planning and implementing software updates; managing compliance and endpoint protection settings; managing configuration manager clients; managing inventory using Configuration Manager
  • Test System Center solutions, working with end users and system owners as needed
  • Understand and analyze business needs and current system configurations
  • Manage and administer the IT infrastructure including LAN, WAN, extended enterprise applications, network security, communications, problem solving, and vendor support.
  • Collaborate with the network and systems analysis staff in the study, analysis and evaluation of current and projected network systems and procedures and in the design, implementation and maintenance of revised or new network systems.
  • Assist with technology planning, strategy, and roadmap activities, as needed
  • Complete system documentation (architecture/design, run books, etc.)
  • Adhere to department principles, processes, standards, conventions, and industry best practices when performing work
  • Coordinate the implementation and integration of new and existing PC and Network based applications.
  • Ensures proper network backup and recovery processes are adhered to.
  • Develops and establishes departmental standards and procedures and coordinates the staff's efforts, providing technical support and direction.
  • Support remote sites via phone and/or remote control software
  • Occasional travel to remote sites will be required.
  • Assist in Desktop support as required
  • Support, train, and share knowledge with peers, end users, and other teams as needed (Service Desk, End Users, Systems, Security, Release Management, etc.)
  • Remain current on new or emerging tools and solutions that could benefit our business systems
  • Other duties as assigned

Critical Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Solid working knowledge of the System Center 2012 (2016 is a plus) modules, system architecture (system components, etc.), tools, modules, and integration points
  • Experience managing: operating system images, deployments, & updates (on many hardware models); application/software packages, deployments & updates; compliance settings; sites, clients; inventory; reports and queries; etc.
  • Ability to work in a distributed environment
  • Working knowledge and experience with Windows 7 & 10 operating systems, VMWare, computing devices (many different hardware models-servers, desktops, laptops, etc.), print servers, printers, MFDs, peripherals
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server (2008, 2012, & 2016), security and network systems and Active Directory
  • Working knowledge and experience with the System Center security model and System Center performance tuning·Ability to configure System Center solutions in a manner to foster maintainability in a team environment
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply technology is required
  • Basic knowledge of ITIL is preferred
  • Ability to travel as needed (approx. 10%)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including teamwork and team building
  • Strong analytical, technical, and troubleshooting skills
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of improving and leaning out business processes

Education / Training Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience

OEM Sales Associate

MISSION

The OEM Sales Associate will be responsible to maintain product penetration into existing small to medium OEM customers while managing daily maintenance activities associated with these customers.  The Account Coordinator will individually maintain or improve relationships and customer satisfaction while meeting NGP business goals. This position will also support the accounts of OEM Account Managers as required in times of increased activity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve volume, revenue, and gross margin goals for assigned OEM customers
  • Understand volume, sales, and gross margin by product by customer to proactively identify declines and increases for each assigned customer.
  • Develop knowledge of customers end-to-end processes and work across the customers organization to defend existing business and drive sales growth
  • Maintain positive relationships with assigned customers
  • Lead and execute cost improvements and customer pricing actions on products
  • Provide quotations, technical information, sales presentations, product introductions, etc.
  • Respond to customer Request for Quote opportunities by due date
  • Manage new product introduction deliverables including prototype samples and costing, customer product change requests, engineering work orders, and customer delivery dates.
  • Manage account receivables (A/R Past Due %& DSO)
  • Provide internal reports, documentation including forecasts, sales reports, trip reports, monthly business summaries and market analysis, etc.
  • Conduct timely and documented resolution of warranty, delivery, invoicing, and account receivable issues.

OEM Sales Manager

MISSION

The OEM Account Manager will be responsible to grow revenue and profit with existing and new medium to large OEM customers while managing daily maintenance activities associated with these customers.  The OEM Account Manager will individually manage the OEM accounts for growth and profitability and is expected to improve relationships and customer satisfaction while meeting NGP business goals.
